62romeo Receives Honor

After sustaining injuries and being medically retired from the SEAL Teams, I found myself spiraling into depression, struggling to redefine my purpose in life. The loss of my teammate, Ryan Larkin, only deepened that sense of hopelessness. Rather than surrender to despair, I chose to forge a new path—one that would honor Ryan’s memory and serve others who stood where I once stood.

That decision led to the creation of “62 Romeo,” a program that has helped hundreds of veterans and first responders restore healthy sleep patterns. Through this work, I’ve been privileged to witness profound transformations as those I serve begin reclaiming their lives and finding renewed hope.

This year, I am both humbled and honored to accept an American flag from Bill Brown, in recognition of the impact 62 Romeo has made. In addition, I am deeply grateful to accept it at the 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York City, acknowledging those we lost. These flags symbolize not only a tribute to my personal journey, but also a testament to the enduring spirit of service and sacrifice that binds us all.

I remain dedicated to empowering our country’s heroes—veterans, first responders, and their families—offering them the tools and support they need to heal, to find renewed purpose, and to move forward with pride and resilience.
